Off the BC again!

Ive been off the pill for alittle over a month. This month AF has been very clotty is the normal? My husband and I have been trying for our first child together but I have a child that is almost 12 from my first marriage. It only took me one month to conceive the first time this time it seems to be a struggle:( my husband and I have tried a few years back to conceive but took time off. I'm kinda discourage about trying for my second baby.
