Early labor???

Okay im now 38w4d and all of a sudden having shooting type pains in my vagina and having watery and clear type discharge? Whats going on?

38 weeks isn't early labor. If it's labor, it's term.

The watery fluid could be your amniotic fluid. Put on a panty liner or pad. If you soak through over the course of a couple of hours, you need to call your obgyn.

Are you having contractions?  Drink a bunch of water and lay on your left side and time then. Real comtractions, imo, feel like the kind of colon pain you might feel if you take a super laxative....and lots of pressure. If you have more than 4 comtractions in an hour, call your dr.

You are plenty far along enough to be going into labor so listen to your body.

The shooting pains or "lightening crotch" can happen in third trimester.. It's just baby hitting nerves down below in your cervix.

FTM so i don't know from experience or anything lol but read that you can get sharp vaginal pains when you're starting to dialate
