Pain in sternum area?

We’re 3 weeks pp. but prior to birth I had a lot of pain near sternum that felt like sharp kicks to the ribs tho realistically his feet couldn’t reach up there. And it’s still sore to the touch. It feels like muscle pain. I asked my obgyn and she said muscle pain from pregnancy/birth should b resolved by now and thought I should b furthered assessed for maybe gallbladder/gallstones/or liver? Anyone else have pain in that area? It really feels like muscle pain but she thinks other things can cause that?
