It should be okay but it's really a slippery slope. I think by a certain age, and when you're married, alone time or confiding in someone of the opposite sex is a boundary that is seemingly innocent that could quickly and easily change into emotional and physical cheating. I don't think it's even close to worth risking it.

I guess. I’ve never met a man who didn’t want more than friendship. I have one male friend and even he tried forever to date me until letting it go eventually. We remained friends though. We don’t talk all day every day, if ever. If there’s something going on, one of the children’s birthdays type of thing, then we talk. We don’t have long conversations or spend time alone.

why wouldn't it ok??? My SO and I love eachother but it is nice to talk to other people too. both male and female. as long as we are faithful to one another I don't give a shit who my bf talks too. while perhaps some people I may not like, and some he may not like we aren't crazy enough to prohibit contact with other people unless given a legitimate reason, "I don't like them" is not a legitimate reason.

No, the only friends I have of the opposite sex are gay. And my husband certainly doesn't have any girl friends.

It’s ok as long as the friend of the opposite sex is respectful at all times. I trust my fiancé so I wouldn’t be worried about him at all but if at any point a lady friend ever acted or spoke in a way the I didn’t find appropriate I wouldn’t be ok with it.
