am I right to have my feelings hurt?

I am getting induced and having my baby on Monday. My mother in law was supposed to be in the delivery room, and she knew this from the beginning and expressed how she wanted to be. she noe is saying that she cannot get off work to be there (she works at a bank, they would easily let her leave early to see her grandbaby be born)... but the upsetting part is when her daughter had her baby 5 months ago she made the statement "I will lose or quit my job before I miss her having the baby"... So how is this grand baby any different?? am I wrong for feeling upset ?
