Honestly, (this coming from my aunt who is an obgyn) the sperm that are the healthiest and most likely to reach an egg do so within a few seconds of release. Everything that "comes out" after is just dead/unhealthy sperm, extra fluids used for lubrication from you and him, and cervical mucus. I never stayed laying down and got pregnant in 3 months. My opinion? It's a myth.

I always thought it was a myth that you need to lay down to somehow "help" the sperm. I've read you have the same odds getting pregnant by sex standing up as you do missionary.
