Hey ladies! I’ve been thinking about locking my hair for a couple years now and want to do it. I know the process is long and hard but I am definitely up for the challenge. However, I’m white and already have friends who say they’d be offended if I (or another non-African chick) wore their hair in dreads. Do any of you guys get offended/consider it cultural appropriation? I understand that dreadlocks have a really strong connection to the rasta community (which I am not a part of but really have come to understand and appreciate in the past few years).
