Infected ingrown toenail won’t go away!!

It started as a normal ingrown toenail and then it got SUPER infected. There was green pus and such so I went to the doctor and got prescribed with antibiotics. This all happened in a course of a month. I finished the medicine about a week ago and the infection came back!!! There’s a extra almost tumor looking piece of skin that’s attached. I’m not sure what to do. I’m making another appointment, but what are y’all s thoughts on what it is/ what’s going on?????
