Hepatitis B vaccine at birth

Sa

I was tested in my first trimester along with other STD tests, and I tested negative for Hep B. I also remember being vaccinated for this when I was a kid. So I am confused why doctors insist on vaccinating one day old babies when the mother has tested negative and has been vaccinated. The only other way baby can get the disease other than breastfeeding is through sexual contact.

I am very close to deciding that I won't have my baby get the vaccine until she starts school at 4. But I would also like to hear any other reasons why she should be vaccinated at birth. As far as I know me, my husband and our immediate family are all vaccinated and negative.
