Is it okay NOT to burp baby if they finally fall asleep while drinking bottle?

I stopped burping my daughter at 2 or 3 months or so. Not purposely. We just somehow stopped doing it after a while. It’s never been an issue. If she has to burp, she burps. If she happens to get fussy for no reason then I’ll try burping her to see if that’s the cause. But I don’t feel that it’s a life and death thing lol if baby’s sleeping then let thwm sleep.

Drinking bottle of expressed milk or formula? With formula I would burp. Breastmilk is thinner and easily digestible so less problems there. My son would fall asleep on the breast and I would just put him in his bed without burping and he was okay. They may wake up with a tummy ache but usually not if breastmilk. They burp when you pick them up when they wake up haha!

lay him across your lap with head close to your knee and rub or pat the air out. If you're gentle and their a deep sleeper they will only wake if it's a big burp
