My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years. We TTC for years. I finally decided on the Gastric Bypass in May 2016. Ended up having it done here in the states by a very reputable doctor in July 2016. I was advised I couldn't TTC for at least 12-18months post op. I was on the pill, I've lost 194lbs and decided to come off BC mid September 2017 which was 14 months post op. Last period started September 25, 2017. Well I've been disappointed so many times I didn't wanna bum out my husband so i took a test Thursday Oct 26, 2017 before he got home from work so he wouldn't be upset when it showed negative. Well as i was getting ready to throw it away n chalk it up to another dissapointments bc the Control Line showed and nothing else, just as I was about to chunk it in the trash... a second faint line began to appear. I was in disbelief, I said nuh uh... n watched it for a minute. Sure enough... ❤👐 Positive👐❤... I ran n grabbed my phone crying n freaking out n called my husband. Well needless to say 7 positives @ home test and 3 positive @ the doctors office Friday, I'm pretty sure... 99.9% positive I'm finally pregnant. Blood test was drawn and will get the results early this coming week. My question is has anyone else became pregnant after Gastric Bypass and was there any special guidelines you had to follow??? I've already started taking Prenatals and eating more healthy than I already do. Getting my protien in is my #1 priority now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
