Troubles with my boyfriend

So my boyfriend and I have been on and off for 8 years we have dated other people thinking maybe we aren’t meant but we always come right back so we decided to try again and it’s been great for months but now he is being distant and doesn’t seem to care anymore. He gets in these moods where he doesn’t care about anyone or anything but idk if it’s that or just me. We don’t fight, I try to do what ever makes him happy (while keeping myself happy too) I just feel like it’s beginning to be a one way relationship and I don’t know what to do bring it up to him only makes him upset he says he still loves me and it’s just him but I feel like there’s more. Opinions anyone ?!?!
