Should I interview OBGYNs before selecting?

I just found out I am pregnant (first time!) and don't have an OBGYN. After doing research, I've narrowed it down to 2 doctors. 
I want to go in and talk to both before I make a decision. Is it normal to go in and meet doctors before I declare them as my OBGYN? How would you go about this?

It's absolutely normal. We met and spoke with our obgyn before we had a doctors appt and that's totally normal for them too, they must get it all the time. I would go in with any questions you have and make sure how they operate meets your expectation but be open minded. You can't plan your pregnancy, your baby will dictate how it will go whether you want it to go that way or not. I would think more along the lines of how available are they after hours? Can you email them at any time bc you're going to have a lot of random questions that don't require an immediate response but also shouldn't wait between appts. Are they equipped and ready to do any sort of delivery? If you wanted something more holistic is that what they specialize in? Make sure they are tied to the hospital you want to deliver in.... etc. hope this helps!

Where I live, WI, it’s called a meet and greet. I did this for my OBGYNs for high risk pregnancy and my sons pediatrician. The appointments were 10 mins and I got to ask a bunch of questions. I had narrowed down the doctors previously already based on education and special certifications they did, as well as being board certified. But the meet nd greet gave me the opportunity to deal with their staff as well as see if the doctor wasn’t a jerk. The doctor was great but one of his secretaries was a pain in my ass and sooooo stupid.
