Permanent hair dye in first trimester?!??

I have hair dye which I want to put on. Says  30 mins but planned to just put it on for 15 mins. Will this be safe? I'm 10 weeks 5 days?

Since it doesn't actually enter your bloodstream it is completely safe. Just make sure that you are in a well ventilated area. And also remember that since you're pregnant, your hair may take the color differently, due to the hormone changes.

I am a cosmetologist and we were taught it is okay to use permanent haircolor on a pregnant woman as long as it is well vented. No different then doing acrylic nails. Just has to be well vented (:

I am a cosmetologist...If you don't process the color for the full amount of time, it won't take properly. If it's supposed to be on for 30 minutes, you really need to leave it on for that whole amount of time to achieve the desired results.

Most of the articles and things that I have read say to wait until the second trimester. I've been holding out for that 13 week mark myself. I say better safe than sorry and wait a few weeks. And when you do make sure you're in a really well ventilated area.
