I had iPhones for a really long time. Most recently, I had the 6+ and it would die at like 40% battery and everything glitched. It was sooo slow. Maybe I just got a defective one. I switched to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and I love it! I've had it since about a month after they were released and I have no problems with it. It's fast, clean, pretty, and everything works great. This is by far the best phone I've ever owned.

I currently have both. My old iPhone 4S which is still working relatively fine after 6 years (except battery, which drains waaay too fast) and my new Android. 
Android was cheap as hell, 2-3 days of battery life with average use, camera rivaling that of iPhone 6/7 and fully customizable.
iPhones look nice and iOS is overall better for me because of its simplicity, but the price and a new version of the phone every year leaving the previous ones obsolete is too much for me. That and you have to get the full line of Apple if you want it to work with other devices.
