Pros and cons of different types of birth control?🤔

In recent months my period has become irregular and I’ve been considering birth control to even it out; and if I’m comfortable with it keep. I’ve heard about Depo a little (mixed reviews) and wanted experienced opinions.

I would try to get to the root of what is causing the irregularity before masking it. There may be no problem, just irregular periods, but there may be some other issue causing this. Going on birth control to be more regular may mean that when you come off in however many years, you'll still have the same issue that potentially should have been dealt with sooner. Talk to a doctor familiar with gynaecological problems. A lot will prescribe hormonal birth control without investigating what has changed your cycles. Before going you should likely chart a few cycles to give them an idea of what is happening.

Depo is horrible for long term due to the links to infertility & the fact that it diminishes bone density
