So a couple of months ago I started working from home for a company. I get a small per hour salary from them, it was on the basis that the work isn't that demanding or complicated.

A month ago we started a new project and it's much more complicated than my previous work (so much so that I have to go on training). To add to that, I am using my own resources to communicate with clients (I was told I'd get a VOIP number from the company). And now I am expected to drive around for the company too. Again at my expense.

Do you think it's fair for me to ask for an increase (bear in mind I've only been working for them for three months)?

EDIT- no i didn't sign a contract, everything was done all very casually. I don't think it's unfair to ask for an increase for the more technical/ complicated work.
