I've never had a C-section . but you never know about the future and I was wondering what the doctors do . an how the mother feels before , during , and after ...

Woo! 👣 First was emergency so after not dilating for hours and having to get induced. And getting the epidural . Passed out because I was so tired. Woke up and water bag was popped. Still wasn’t dilating so they shaved me 😬 then got me into the operating room. I kept crying because the hospital was soooo busy that night (they delivered 35 babies only 2 were girls) my epidermal had ran out so I was back in pain for a while before they took me into the operating room. The gave me pain killers. I felt a lot of pressure kept crying. Then they gave me something STRONGER. I didn’t hear but the nurse told my husband - what I’m about to give her, people tend to see things. As soon as it went thru the iv to my arm. I passed out. Girl I was dreaming that I was flying thru space in a space ship and there were flying squares coming at me and I had to dodge them while talking to the doctors about landing my ship on this bigger space ship. Woke up in the recovery room with my husband and baby :)

Depends if it's planned or an emergency. I had a planned and it was done and over with in about 30 minutes. You arrive to the hospital about an hour before your schedule time, they bring you to a temporary room where you get changed into a hospital gown and blood drawn. They then bring you into the surgical room and have you sit up perfectly still so they can give you either a spinal tap or epidural. My nurse was awesome and talked to me so I didn't focus on the needle. They then lay you down on the table where they set up the monitors and put up a cloth so you can't really see them do anything. After that its just a lot of pressure as the nurse pushes down on your ribs to help push the baby out while the doctor pulls her out. After that it's a bit of a blur since it happens so quickly. They take the baby, clean them up, measure them then a nurse holds them up to you since your arms are still strapped to the table and then within 5 minutes your in the recovery room where they'll feed the baby or help you breastfeed and you'll get some time to bond with baby skin to skin before bringing you up to your main room where you'll stay for the rest of the time
