Ovulating cycle day 30??

I have PCOS and have been trying to conceive for a year. I take ovulation tests religiously and they are always negative. Today I took a ovulation test and it looks positive to me. Could I be ovulating on cycle day 30? I’ve also had sharp pain in my right side the past couple of days and lower back pain. I don’t know what to do because my OB wants me to start provera soon so I can start clomid for the first time next cycle. If I have unprotected sex tonight I will have to wait another 2 weeks to start the provera. Any advice/suggestion?!
