Breast feeding and Tylenol 3
I have horrible pain in my neck and hip from a car accident way before I was pregnant. Before pregnancy my doctor prescribed me Tylenol 3 with codeine & a muscle relaxer.
I had an emergency c section at 38 weeks. Was prescribed Percocet with 800mg ibuprofen.
Well I ran out of the Percocet tonight. Was in a ton of pain and didn't think twice before taking my Tylenol 3 and 400mg of ibuprofen. It helped so much with my pain I was able to sleep. Woke up 4 hrs later to breast fed my 2 month old infant. The feeding session was normal. About 15 minutes after he passed out he threw up a few times one after the other. Then again a few minutes later. He's not screaming for food and has fallen asleep after me putting him in his swing.
I've read that Tylenol 3 can be taken during lactation but should be limited.
Guess my question is..
Could my one does be the cause of his feeding discomfort?
Feeling like a horrible mother and just need some advice.
