Hello fellow moms!

I had my baby girl exactly 4 weeks ago and my chronic pain is getting unbearable. I did not take narcotic pain meds during the pregnancy (except the early weeks before I found out and then weaned off). I am breastfeeding my baby girl and I really want to continue doing so as long as possible but I’m terrified that my pain will prevent me from doing that due to my desperate need for medication. I’m seeing my pain dr in 2 months to discuss whether I’m gonna continue breastfeeding or not.

Have any other moms successfully had some pain relief while breastfeeding? Did you take medications? If so, were they narcotics or otc medication? I don’t want to put my baby at risk but idk how long I can go without managing my chronic pain. 😞
