How long did it take you to conceive after VR?

My husband got his VR done 10/13/17. He had his BR done about 10 years ago after our son was born. We just recently decided to have it reversed because I really want one more baby. I’ll be 34 in March so I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long to conceive because my clock is ticking. How long did it take everyone to conceive after VR?

Hi Christian...congrats on having the vr done! I’m 35 years old & my husband had his vr 2/13/17, and original v was 2/17/10...so just a few days shy of 7 years. We had 3 kids together before his original vasectomy so we also know we can have them together. We are now in a better financial place & want another & totally regret the original vasectomy. I ovulated 9 days after vr so we took advantage of how he felt & bd’ed. We are currently in our tww of our 9th cycle 8 months after vr actively ttc. I mean bbt charting, using opk’s, using preseed, trying the Smep plan, trying every other day bd, trying every day, trying just day before ov, day of, day after....I feel I’ve turned into a crazy person trying everything! He started taking Fertilaid for men with count boost & motility boost last month. I can test in 5 days but he has a semen analysis on 11/7. I don’t share all this to discourage you, but to tell you to not give up. It may not the inspirational story you were hoping for, coming from me, yet, but I have faith it IS coming! I would say anything can happen and it’s a waiting game. You could get lucky right away or It could take a while, or a couple of sperm turnovers to get a bfp. While I’ve seen some happen immediately after vr, they definitely don’t seem to be the norm. Welcome to our group! Hi!! Welcome to the group! My DH got his VR 7/25/17, just shy of 8 years after V. We already have two kids together and now want 1-2 more. I just turned 36. We started TTC in Sept and Oct, with no luck yet, but we are hopeful. We both started taking CoQ10 last month hoping that will help. His 4 month analysis is in a few weeks. How did your DH's VR go? I hope his recovery is going well and that you guys get your BFP soon!!

It took us a year to conceive after he had the vasectomy for 11 years. The only thing I used to help was the clearblue digital opk. THAT’S IT!
