I’m a ftm and I’m really nervous because I’m also young (20 in a month). I’m just worried that my family and my boyfriends family are gonna try to be pushy with what’s right and what’s wrong to do with our baby. I’m already getting differing opinions from both sides now about what to and what not to do while pregnant.

I know they’ll mean well and try to help, but in all honesty I wanna have time to experience this on my own too. I wanna make mistakes and learn from them, but I’m not the kind that puts her foot down. If anything most would agree I just let people control situations and I sit back and let them walk over me.

I just won’t know how to, nicely, tell them that I wanna do some of these things on my own.

How will my boyfriend and I be expected to learn this stuff now to be prepared when we’re on our own someday?

I’m just anxious about it all and I may be getting ahead of myself, but it’s been sitting on mind for a while now.
