Life calling

Not really sure if this is considered to be controversial. But here it goes. Do you feel like people have a "calling" in life? As in a certain career/lifestyle they're meant to have? Even further, do you feel like some people are meant to be a mom/parent? On a personal level, I've always loved surgery, the body, how it works, etc. I went to school and got a degree for surgical technology. I got pregnant right after I graduated and I've been a SAHM, and housewife since. I've been told I'm wasting my degree by not using it, but I feel perfectly content and like I'm where I need to be in life staying at home, doing household chores and taking care of my baby.
