Never have a period

So hubby and I started trying 2 years ago.. 2 years before that I was on depo shot & 3 months before we started trying I had switched to birth control pills.. when I had the shots I never had a period, when I started the pills I had them regularly so when we decided to start trying I quit the pill and now for 2 years I have a period about once every 3 months if I’m lucky.. I’m always so depressed when I take a test and it’s negative, but I take ovulation tests and I never get two lines.. I need help! I am just going crazy
