Home decor ideas

My walls are very blank, I’ve lived on my own for years. (Boyfriend/Fiancé , and child with me)and recently graduated my secondary school and FINALLY have the extra budget to decorate my house.

I want to put pictures up but also that’s not really “decorating” I’d like to create the homey feel.

So can anyone post pics of what they did for certain areas or give ideas
