BPD? PPD?

Question

Has anyone else been clinically diagnosed with BPD? How has it affected your pregnancy? I have a history of PPD, and now knowing (for about two years now) that I have BPD, I wonder how PPD could possibly be in conjunction with that. I am truly concerned about my mental health.

I have BPD so when I found out I was pregnant I was very concerned about how the pregnancy would affect my moods. But thankfully pregnancy actually made me super stable. I made sure to attend counseling once a week throughout my entire pregnancy and postpartum, and I also saw a psychiatrist every few months even though I wasn't on medication just in case I was experiencing any symptoms. Having BPD does increase your chances of developing PPD, but if you go through your pregnancy knowing that and set yourself up with a good support system before hand you will be prepared either way.
