Elinor makes it look like you’re uneducated and don’t know how to spell. There’s a fine like between a lesser popular spelling and parents looking like idiots.

I personally prefer Eleanor, but Elinor is perfectly fine as well. Jane Austen used this spelling for the character Elinor Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility, it does not look like you can’t read or spell to use this version. 🙄
