Did you see your doctor earlier with a rainbow pregnancy?

I just found out yesterday I'm pregnant with my rainbow baby approximately 4 weeks 3 days according to LMP. I am curious if I should press for an earlier than 8 weeks visit or just TRY to go with the flow even though I am wicked anxious.

I'm sorry for your loss :( I had a son, but experienced a miscarriage 1 yr later. I found out I was pregnant again on Mother's Day this year (currently 28 wks along with my rainbow baby ♡) The hospital here doesn't typically see patients until 8-10 wks into the pregnancy (terrible prenatal care). I threw a fit and didn't stop calling until I was finally able to speak with a hospital/nurse manager. Thankfully, she listened to my fears and agreed to schedule me for an early, viabilty-confirming ultrasound and HCG blood tests. I was still anxious afterwards, but it helped me feel a lot better. All that anxiety isn't good for you or your baby - any good provider should understand what you're going through and make whatever arrangements necessary to pacify your fears. My 2nd pregnancy after my MC they saw me (ultrasound) at 8 weeks. Same for this time. My third pregnancy after 2 MC. They did bring me in a little early for a pregnancy confirmation and to test my HCG levels and to see if I was having any issues. I was right at 4 weeks.

my doctor saw me at my first pregnancy at 5w6d, because I was taking Clomid. I lost that baby. when I conceived my rainbow baby, he saw me at 6w1d. I got ultrasounds both times, which isn't typical but I was very thankful for. I think it depends on the doctor!

I'm only like 4 weeks (pregnant again before my period after MC) and I'm going so they can get me on Pregesterone to help my little baby stick

I saw my midwife around 7 weeks for a confirmation with urine and blood test and then ultrasound was at 8w 4d.  I had a stillbirth in February so they're going to start watching me closer once I hit 28 weeks. my anatomy scan at 20 weeks will be at a level 2 hospital with a high risk doctor and we will put a plan in place just in case for some reason i need to deliver at a high risk hospital, just to be on the safe side.

You're just gonna freak yourself out if you go earlier because they won't be able to find a heartbeat earlier than 8 weeks. That's why they schedule them for 8 weeks and not earlier. Just try to relax. I just had my rainbow baby 2 months ago after 2 miscarriages. I was seen at 8 weeks

I got pregnant right after my miscarriage with no period in between. They did a routine blood test after the miscarriage to confirm everything had passed and hcg was back to normal again. When I still didn't get my period a couple days later I got suspicious and took my last home pregnancy test, which to my shock, was positive. My doc was utterly confused and told me to come in again. That was about a week later and she did a scan and could see a gestational sac. So it turned out the lab had messed up my blood test and it should in fact have been positive. After that they told me I had to wait three weeks so I would be about 8 weeks, but I was so scared and expected the worst to happen again, that it might be a blighted ovum etc. So a week and a half later I went there again and she squeezed me in to ease my mind. I was able to see a heartbeat and a tiny fetal pole...which really calmed me down. The next scan another week and a half later showed baby to be about 7+1. My next one is tomorrow, I should be 10 weeks excactly. I still get very scared before every scan...but talk to your doc! If it helps you to go in earlier, talk to him/her. on one hand they don't wanna see you to soon in case they can't see a heartbeat yet because that may freak you out even more. But in my case it helped calm me a lot. Good luck Mama!

My doc drew blood from 4 weeks to 5 1/2 & saw me at 5 weeks 3 days then every week after until 9 weeks.

My dr saw me at 8 weeks, but she ordered an early ultrasound at 6+4 to support me in my anxiety. I emailed her asking her what she thought we should do, and that was her suggestion. I was grateful for that.
