It can be. Your immune system is weakened when you get pregnant making it easier to get sick. I got a cold right before I found out I was pregnant.

that was one of my first pregnancy symptoms I had. unfortunately I miscarried at 6 weeks but that was something I remembered.. oh and gas.. bad gas lol
