Ovarian cyst

Has anyone here ever had one because I was at planned parenthood not to long ago about abdominal pain and they said to go to a specialist because I might have an ovarian cyst. I have an appointment next week about it but I’m really nervous because I’m only 17 and nothing like this has happened to me before and when I told my boyfriend he kind of just brushed it off like it was nothing, and I just need some support or information cause I’m a little freaked out .
