Late Period; New Birth Control

So my period is 3 days late. After my last period (October 4-9) I started my new birth control (started on October 14). Now it’s time for my new period and it’s not here yet. I’ve had some period symptoms, but no blood. Could this be because of my new birth control? The new birth control I’m on is stranger than the last one and it’s been awhile since I’ve taken the old one.
