anybody NOT monitoring hcg levels?

I feel like I see alot of posts about people monitoring hcg levels with their doctors and it kind of makes me nerrvous... I got a confirmation urine test done at my docs but other than that I won't be seen until I'm eleven weeks! and I did look around. nobody in my area sees you sooner unless you are high risk.

I have never had my blood checked! Even with my daughter 10 years ago, I'm in the UK (Scotland) and i never really hear of anyone here getting blood checked as routine only if there is any issue 😳 x

I am in the same boat. I had a blood test to confirm. I won't see my obgyn until nov 21st at 8 weeks. I've never had my levels tested and this is my 2nd pregnancy.

It's usually a good thing to not have HCG monitored.  The only reason mine is being monitored is because of a previous miscarriage.  And, my results came back low, so it's just causing me more worry.  Take it as a good sign!

With my first child 9 years ago and my second 5 years ago  I was regularly tested on due to miscarriages. But they never told me anything I went to a clinic and they just did everything even organised all my appointments. Round 3 better be the same.
The doctors will tell you what you need to know but sometimes too much information is too overwhelming. I liked just skimming through knowing everything was perfect. The less I knew the better I felt.
They did say my first would be atleast 9-10 pound and she was 7. And my second they said 5-6 pound that it didn’t seem she was growing. 9 pound 3 later, she was bloody huge.

Mine are not, even with a previous miscarriage. I won't be seen until December 5th when I'm 10 weeks. It's a blessing and a curse all at the same time. I am not worried by tests, but I don't have any idea what's going on in there either which worries me. Trying my best to keep it together.

I was spotting when I first found out I was preggo in August so I went to the dr to see what was going on. Turns out I had a chemical pregnancy, so I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and they had me come in for a blood test right away to make sure all was well, and it is :) if there’s no cause for concern is not necessary, but if there’s something off or you’ve had challenges in the past it helps the drs to gather this info to understand your body.

i think a lot of the people getting frequent hcg levels did iui or ivf. i have a friend from highschool posting her ttc ups and downs in Facebook and she doesn't successfully conceive after 3 iui and is on her 2nd ivf soon... and outs like labs all the time

They won't see people here until 10 weeks, period. No urine or blood tests. Honestly, this trend of blood tests is sorta new when I comes to women without a history of loss. (For loss moms it's standard procedure.)

Mine has been checked so many times. I don’t know if that’s my doctors office way of doing it or just because every time my levels have been so low, but I went at least five times with my last pregnancy, which sadly ended as a mc. So far with this one I’ve already gone once and I’m going again this afternoon so they can make sure my levels are rising because of my two previous losses.
