asking how many months???

people keep asking me how many months my tummy .. is all of them had a experience of pregnancy so they should know that is not month counting it its weeks😂annoying

Months is sometimes easier for people to calculate. I always tell people in months unless they’ve recently had a baby.

I usually say weeks .. there is such a big difference between the beginning of the month and towards the end. If after I say the weeks they give me the look like .... ahhh.. then I’ll translate. So right now I’m almost 15 weeks (tomorrow) so I’d say I’m 3 1/2 months. But not many people ask because we haven’t made it public yet. Just family and close friends know.

I find it annoying how often things are referred to in weeks. I didn’t like it when people spoke in weeks before I was pregnant because like some one else said, it’s easier to relate to months and also the significant of  weeks doesn’t mean as much when you aren’t the one going through it. There’s kind of a an expiry on when it’s still relevant to talk in weeks before it’s more useful to refer to months and for me the cutoff is the first trimester, because people focus on the importance of the first trimester, after that it’s a countdown to the 9 month mark. The same applies with babies too, it gets tired when you refer to a baby’s age as 32 weeks old when you can just say 8 months or 18 months when you can just say a year and a half and it makes know difference to them because they aren’t valueing the time the same you will be. I also find it comes across as a little self indulgent. For that reason I make of point saying I’m 4 months unless someone specifically asks me how many weeks I am because they obviously can relate to the information that comes with “weeks”.

Some people just refer to it as months. Like right now I am 17+3 and I’m in my “5th month of pregnancy “.
