Can you breastfeed from just one boob?

Question

My left boob has had issues with clogged milk ducts and I can get it "working" for a second and then it's screwed up again very shortly after. My right boob however has no issues. Can I breastfeed with just my right boob or will that cause issues? I know I'll probably be lopsided and engorged on the left side but I can handle that.

I suggest seeing a lactation consultant because breast feeding from just one side can be extremely difficult and painful. If you’re having issues with clogged ducts keep feeding from it and use hot showers to help milk move too and it should clear itself. It sounds like you may not be using the left enough which is why it keeps clogging. I had a bad one on my left side and oh my god I didn’t want to feed from it because it was so painful but it has to be done and as soon as I got it all cleared I never had an issue again. It was amazing.
