contraction pains?

so I'm just wondering what everyone felt or how they would describe the first feelings of pain when they went into Labour? I'm 39 weeks and I've been getting pains that I haven't got before and not just baby pushing on my cervix but other pains too. just wondering what it felt like for everyone else and what to look for and how to speed it all up

For me at first it just felt like intense period cramps that started in my back and went to the front and I also felt very tight

Strong period cramps that started in the front and real low then moved to my back along my lower spine. My uterus also got very hard too. I thought it was false labor for 6 hours because I read they were suppose to go from back to front but I guess I’m just backwards. After 6 hours they got worse and closer together and knew it was the real deal.
