Baby constipated?

Question

My son is 8 Weeks. Starting Thursday he only pooped once and it was hard for him. He was gassy all day. Same on Friday. He has a small poop. Today he hasn’t pooped, just extremely gassy. His gas is also extremely bad smelling. 
Is this normal?

my daughter is going through this right now at 5 weeks of age. She went a day without pooping and cried all day and night for 2 nights. Had 2 big poopy diapers (but still liquidy) yesterday. So far no poops today, but she's in a better mood. and she's been gassy the whole time. Still having pretty wet diapers. I've been alternating mylicon and gripe water. bicycle kicks not helping much. I'm hoping this is a phase.

if he doesn't seem uncomfortable and is having more than 6 sopping wet diapers a day, then it's okay. sometime between 4-10 weeks their BM habits change. you can help him by doing bicycle kicks with his legs and tummy massage. if he goes more than 48+ hours without any type of dirty diaper, call his pediatrician.
