I came into work today to look at the new schedule. I look and look at it and I see that the schedule actually says off on November 19 instead of just an x like usual meaning a day off and I’m like what the hell I never saw that. Then I look at when I put in for my vacation (that’s not really a vacation but 2 days before I’m due with my second child) and anxiety hit me right then and there. It’s 2 weeks before we no longer are a family of 3 but become a family of 4. 2 weeks till our household income gets majorly cut for the whole month of December. 2 weeks till I’m the mother of a preschooler and a newborn. It’s different seeing the days remaining on the app but actually seeing it as a reminder for the next 2 weeks yeah a little overwhelming.
