Well guys, my heart is completely shattered. I put my cat out tonight I was upset with him because he randomly peed in the dog bed. We cleaned it up but put him outside out of frustration . NOT even an hour later my husband bust in saying Presley had been hit by a car ( our porch is raised and he was standing outside and saw the whole thing). I ran out to see my cat covered in blood laying in the road and the car that hit him Sat there for a good minute. I literally ran to him and fell over him in the middle of the street becoming hysterical. The car proceeded to back up and speed away !!!!!!!!!!! I was in a panic so I didn't chase the car down and bust out a light but held my sweet boy till we got the vet on the phone. She told us to give him an hour and if the internal bleeding is bad he will pass... thankfully though he did not. We called the doctor back and she told us to come in the morning . He is locked in a little kennel in our bathroom. My poor baby was so uncomfortable he was getting up and walking and trying to lay down. I layed next to him trying to keep him as still as possible but was unsuccessfull so that was when the doc told us to kennel him. I'm hoping and praying with everything in me that he makes it through. Please keep him in your prayers tonight. I can't hear him breath anymore but my husband says he can. I'm just praying for a miracle. ***********UPDATE so we took him in yesterday and the doctor said his lower jaw is deffinetly broken. He has a pretty sever concussion and his brain may be swollen so they couldn't give him any meds to knock him out and do his surgery immediately. She gave him a shot for the swelling to go down. She is either going to do his surgery today or tomorrow and check out his naval cavity. She said if it's really bad that she should be Abel to reconstruct it but he may need a feeding tube for the next 1 to 4 weeks which I have her the green light for. She said it looked like he was using his toung which was really good cats can't eat with out there toungs so if it doesn't work than it's game over for him but she said it looked like it was working but they will confirm it in surgery. She didn't give me the thumbs up that he's going to be ok yet it all depends what happens in his surgery. Please say prayers for him !! I'll post an update when i find out how his surgery went.
