Success with clomid?

Question

I have just finished my first cycle of clomid 50mg and will be going on Friday for my first blood test?
Me and my husband have been trying to over a year and a half. Has anyone had any success with the clomid? How long were you taking it? 
Sorry for all the questions but has anyone had twins with this? Me and my husband both have twins in our family and wondering if this will increase the risk? 
We asked the doctor all these questions but just wanting first hand experiences also?

I just started my first monitored IUI cycle with Clomid after about 6 months of us trying to conceive. My doctor is so confident that we will be successful this time around but I am still reluctant to show any excitement. I am on about 25mg (an extremely low dose). I am definitely having the hot flashes and the mood swings associated with the meds. Hoping that it is all worth it in the end and we have our BFP in the 1st part of June 😊.  Baby dust to all 🌟✨✨✨💫
