My dog has never disappointed me, back stabbed me, lied to me, ignore me, manipulated me, or blown me off. Of course I love my dog more than a lot of people. He’s literally my best friend.

My thoughts before working retail: no, it's wrong. Humans are more important than animals. 
My thoughts after working retail: fuck humanity. If I ever have the option to save a dirty, mangey dog vs a human from being crushed by a bus, I'm saving the dog and I'll kick the human under the bus myself. Jesus Christ people are fucking stupid. 
In short: the answer to this is normal depending on if you've worked retail for more than a year.
