Last week I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and a D&C; on Tuesday. It was our first pregnancy, very much planned and prayed for. The past week has been so heartbreaking.

My husband suggested escaping to our family farm for the weekend, and it was exactly what I needed. Fresh country air, no social media or television, peace and quite, and just my husband, dog, and me.

We brought an apple tree with us, and this morning we planted it overlooking the pasture.

My prayer is that this little tree grows and flourishes, and can always remind us of our baby in heaven.

My prayer is that someday we will have babies, and they can come pick apples from our special tree.

My prayer is that all of you also going through a tough time right now are able to heal and move forward.
