Shorter Cycle Question

I know everything is based around your average 28 day cycle, or days past ovulation. But I have a 26 day cycle and a shorter luteal phase and get my AF 12dpo.

So I was wondering when they say preg tests can pick up 5 days before period, or when they say your more likely to get a bfp after missed af, which is 14dpo, is that based on a standard cycle? My AFs due on Wednesday. But I might have to wait until Friday for those rules to apply to me?

If that makes sense?? 😂

I suppose is there anyone that’s had shorter cycles and early/on time bfp’s?
