when did you get your period back after delivery while ebf?

if later than 12 months comment. my husband and i want our kids close together so i am curious when ill be able to conceive again. i am ebf and my baby is currently 10 weeks old

I was told that even with ebf while you may not get your period you can still ovulate and become pregnant prior to the return of your period.

I ebf for the first 11 months of my daughters life and she had absolutely nothing else to eat but breast for that entire time. I finally got my first period when she was 15 months and it was very light compared to what I use to have. Then the next one was 45 days later and then 36, 34, 32, 29, 28 then pregnant in April with baby #2!

7.5 weeks pp for me.  It is a very individual thing. Could be any day now, or you may not get it back till you wean.

My daughter just turned 1 last Thursday (Nov 2) and I've still yet to have my period. Still breast feeding but only once during the day and at night.
