Opinions? (Drawing)

Question

I drew this today, and I'm pretty proud of it... I'm 13, and I want to do AP art in high school. Is this good? Any criticism or suggestions? Sorry for the bad lighting...

When doing hair, I’m a bit odd and I do every strand. However most artists do blocks at a time and add in shading and highlights as they go. With the drawing, I would use a 2H to outline, then go in with the next dark pencil and do those shades, then with the next dark pencil, and so on
Also, investing in artist pencils will be really helpful. It looks as if you’re just using 2B (regular number 2 pencils) and that’s perfectly fine! However, you may find you like your drawings better once you have proper pencils. Blending stumps will be your best friend.
I have F, H&2H, 1B-8B, and an HB pencil that I use for portraits. 
I’m 16 and in Intermediate Drawing and Painting, I’ll be taking 2D Studio Art my senior year. 
Also! Word of advice, don’t take AP Art. Take the higher level of art, but not the AP. AP requires a final exam at the end, and it could be more stressful than you would ever want art to be.i

You're 13? This is really good!!! One thing I learned about sketching people is hair is to be looked at as a solid, not so much as strands. So think of where your light source is and add a block highlight where appropriate. And don't be afraid to use your eraser to add highlights to the face as well! Best wishes, you're very talented!
