Contractions?

I feel this tightening in my stomach and lower abdomen. Each time it happens I get this urge to pee. It goes away after the tightening stops... 
is this pre-labor or something?? I'm 38+3. And a ftm so I have no idea what my body is doing :/

Real contractions will feel like crampy feeling like period cramps in your stomach while it gets hard at the same time and will fade and come regular

If they aren't consistent and don't get stronger then it's probably Braxton hicks. Every time I went into labor I had horrible back pain and felt like I had to poop. Everyone is diff though

Hello I’m 38 weeks and 5 days today and this happens to me as well. It’s more than likely Braxton Hicks and preparation for the baby to come! Your baby is moving lower into the pelvis! 😊 but just in case it may be something other than that for you, call and ask your doctor!
