how do I deal with PCOS?

I was having every pregnant symptom for past 2 weeks. my period was real late along with everything else. They gave me a blood test last night at the emergency room and it was negative:( well I started spotting today. I don't know how much more I can deal with all this. Should I just stay on my birth control until things get better or just take myself off of it? How hard was it for you guys that had this to get pregnant?

I have PCOS and don't ovulate naturally. We tried for five years naturally. Last cycle I had my first fertility treatments. I'm already in metformin because of PCOS and they put me on letrozole (it's like clomid but has better success rates with women who have PCOS). I took letrozole for cycle day 3-7. I drank 100% pomegranate juice and took a baby aspirin every day from cycle days 7-21 and it greatly improved my uterus lining! Then on cycle day 19, after i had a mature follicle via ultrasound I took a trigger shot caller ovidrel to drop my egg and trigger ovulation. I had an IUI on the 21st. Guess what it worked the first round! We probably didn't need the IUI but I had the mindset that I rather try EVERYTHING the first round then have to waste more money doing multiple rounds. It was an aggressive approach but it worked!
