I just found out that my boyfriend’s mom called his best friend and told him that his family doesn’t like me. I’ve met them twice only. The first time, my boyfriend invited me for the weekend at his family’s farm and when I met them, they didn’t acknowledge me. They said hi and went back to what they were doing. My boyfriend tried to bring something about about me to his relative like how my family lived in Chicago, and all they said was “oh yeah?” And changed the topic. Since they never made eye contact with me or spoke a word to me, I felt really uncomfortable and it disappointed me because I was excited to meet them. I thought that maybe it was just their personality but I had a weird vibe from them and now I found out officially that they don’t like me. My boyfriend didn’t tell me this yet, but I saw a text from his friend when I woke up when I was turning off his alarm on his phone so that’s how I found out. I feel so terrible about it because I really wanted to get along with them. I honestly can’t think of a reason why they wouldn’t like me. It’s bothering me and I don’t know if I can fix it.
