Im really curious to see what others think. I say yes they are but not legally. Legally though would protect the wife, asset wise, if her hubby was to die .

Not legally, but I'm one of those people who believe it's just a piece of paper and honestly, I have yet to see any super important benefit to being legally married, hell, I'm on my husband's bank account, we are legally married, but I still can't get information about the account bc it's his account, not a joint one, it's honestly stupid as hell.

Legally, no. I don’t see the issue with them saying they are married or calling themselves husband and wife.
My sister and her husband never got legally married because she’d not be able to keep her very necessary health insurance plan— for people who can’t fathom why someone would possibly have a ceremony or call themselves married without sighing papers to make it “real”. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No. They might be common law “married” if they’ve been living together for a while. I really don’t see the point in having a wedding but not bothering to sign the papers
