I need advice and not judgemental comments...

So I've been working at my job for four months. It's this guy that noticed me from day one and have always been really friendly towards me. Well the past two months or a little more I noticed him being extra flirty with me,but haven't asked for my number yet but hinting at it. A couple nights ago I asked did he have kids which he stated he had one (which im fine with). I then went to ask was he married to the child mother and he stated he was,but they are now separated. Based on my religious beliefs, I can't have any ties with him because I believe in one wife or husband. You not only made the vow to your companion,but you made it to God also. You can't take it back. Im really bombed a little because I really want to be more than friends with him. I can tell he is a great guy. I don't want my family or church family and most important God to turn away on me because I went outside of my beliefs and God's word. Should I stick to my beliefs and avoid him or continue to be a friend and wait for him to ask me out?
